Torrington Fish and Game

The Following is the 2016 Trout Pond Schedule:

April 8^th – 1^st Stocking (closed all day for fishing)

April 9^th – Opening Day

April 29^th – 2^nd Stocking (closed all day for fishing)

May 20^th – 3^rd Stocking (closed all day for fishing)

Fall (date TBD) – 4^th Stocking (closed all day for fishing)

All Members –
There will be a work party April 16th at 9am to open the kitchen, bathrooms and pavilion as well as to clean up the grounds etc.

We have contacted the water company and the north goshen pond is open to fishing for members. Daily permits are still required and are available at Northwest Sporting Goods in winsted.

Skeet will be moving back to it’s Spring/Summer schedule of Tuesday and Wednesday nights starting April 5th. Hours are 4pm till dark.

Also note – will be closed Easter Sunday.

The weather looks good. We will be re-opening skeet this weekend.

Due to the weather (negative degree temperature and high wind) this coming weekend, we will not be opening Skeet this Sunday, Feb the 14th.

We will update the site to let you know if conditions change in the following weeks.

Also due to the lack of winter this winter, the Skeet house is still open on Sundays from 8am till Noon. Come down and shoot with us in this warm Feburary weather*!

Due to the lack of winter this winter, North Goshen Reservoir remains closed to all fishing until further notice. The pond still has open water.

We plan to keep the skeet field open this winter as long as the weather allows.
Unfortunately the weather this coming Sunday is predicted to be rather poor.
If this turns out to be the case, we will be temporarily closed this weekend.

Hunting season officially starts on Saturday morning the 17th.  If you want to sign up for stocking on any of the days check the stocking calendar above to sign in to stock.

We are also serving coffee and breakfast sandwiches on opening day before hunting, so when you sign in for hunting come down to kitchen and join us.
